Spring Hair Colour Trends 2022

Freshen Up Your Hair Colour For Spring at Simone Thomas
Hair Salon in Bournemouth

It feels like it’s been a long time coming, but spring is finally here!  Why not celebrate with a fresh new look from our Westbourne hairdressers?  From luminous, pearlescent blondes to deep, classy brunettes and warm, glowing coppers, we’ve got you covered with our Davines vegan hair colour range.

For inspiration here are some of our favourite hair colour trends for spring 2022 which we’re sure you’re going to love.

Platinum blonde hair colour BournemouthLuminous Platinum Blondes

Do blondes have more fun?  Maybe this spring you can find out!  Bright platinum blondes are a big trend right now, complete with a voluminous bouncy blow dry for maximum impact.   Think Pamela Anderson in Bay Watch!

Take a look at this stunning pearlescent blonde colour we created for one of our lovely clients who visited us for a colour correction service.   Platinum blonde can be a difficult colour to create and also maintain, so we used Olaplex to protect our client’s hair.  We think you’ll agree, the result is stunning.

Mocha Brown Hair Colour BournemouthRich Mocha Brown

It’s no surprise that this rich chocolatey brunette is such a popular colour – it’s dark and delicious like the drink that inspired it.   It’s a deep, multi-dimensional brunette hair colour with multiple different subtle tones of warm browns for an ultra-luxe and glossy look.
This beautiful milk chocolate mocha was produced by Sharelle with a full head balayage using Davines vegan hair colours.

Warm Caramel Highlights BournemouthWarm Caramel Highlights

For a real contrast with your dark brunette opt for warm caramel highlights, which are another big trend this spring.  Opt for highlights which are at least three to four shades lighter than your base colour to achieve maximum depth and movement to your locks in a technique known as twilighting.

We love these gorgeous caramel hues, created for one of our new clients who visited our salon for the first time after years of home hair colour.   She won’t be returning to the box dye any time soon!

Copper Hair Colour BournemouthGolden Ginger

The trend for red hair, which started last year with Queen’s Gambit, isn’t going anywhere.  This spring  the spotlight is on light, bright copper hair colours and golden ginger shades.

We love this fabulous warm copper shade we created for one of our clients, which shows just how much movement and depth can be created in red hair.

Sandy Blonde Hair Colour BournemouthSandy Blonde

A close relative of the beachy blonde, sandy blonde looks set to be a hot trend for spring.  Combining cool tones of ash blonde with warmer velvety beiges and stone coloured hues, it results in a colour as crisp as a spring day at the seaside.

Take a look at the range of blonde colours and tones we created in this client’s hair for inspiration.

Pastel Pink Hair Colour BournemouthPretty Pastel Pink

As pretty as the spring flowers, the pink hair trend is here to stay.   Whether you want a pink candyfloss shade, palest pearlescent pink or something more vivid, our experienced hair colour technicians can create it for you – and ensure your hair is cared for at the same time.

We’re in love with this subtle and stylish hint of pink we created for one of our clients, which boosts the natural light reflected in her hair.

Glossy hair colour BournemouthGloss Like A Boss

We are expecting the trend for glossing  to be a big thing this year.  Speak to your Simone Thomas stylist about our Davines colour glosses which offer a subtle touch of colour and leave the hair super shiny and conditioned.   They are perfect for banishing dull, faded hair colour, brassy ends and grown out roots.
