Pixie Cuts

Short hair is a fashionable trend we first saw developing in 2020, with many clients swapping their over-grow lockdown locks for a short chic style.

This trend looks set to continue into 2021 as more and more women embrace shorter, more manageable hairdos.   Are you ready for the chop?

Textured Bobs and Lobs

The short-hair mood for 2021 means that the Blunt Bob is set to be a high fashion look this year.  It’s a perennial favourite which always looks super cool, but it can take quite a bit of maintenance to keep it looking sleek.

An alternative is to add some texture to your look with some layers and a bit of scrunching with mousse when you dry.   Easy peasy – you’re all set!   Adding texture to your look is a great idea if you have thin or fine hair too.  Plus. if you don’t want to go too short, the lob, or long bob, is very much on-trend too.

Two Tone Hair Colours

It can be so difficult to choose and all over colour from the beautiful array of Davines shades we have available, so why not go for a two-tone look?   This fashionable look means you can go for a customised look to suit your needs – simply speak to your stylist.

One popular example is face framing highlights or a moneypiece as it is sometimes called.  This involves us adding balayage hair colour towards the front of your locks, around your face.  This could be a complimentary shade to your existing colour or if you’re feeling bold, a bright fashion shade!

Rose Brown Hair Colours

Brunette hair can sometimes be overlooked in the colour stakes, but it doesn’t have to be a boring brown.  Warm rosy shades have become a popular way to brighten up your natural brunette.  It’s a great alternative to the popular Rose Gold for blondes and brunettes too.

Natural Curls

If you’re blessed with naturally curly hair or afro locks, it’s time to embrace a minimalist fuss-free look in 2021, making the most of your hair’s natural texture.

To nourish and tame your curls we’d recommend Davines Love Curl Hair Mask.  Speak to your Simone Thomas hairstylist who will be able to help you make the most of your gorgeous locks.

Side Swept Hair Styles

As seen on many Hollywood A-Listers recently, side-swept fringes or bangs look set to make a come-back in 2021.  They’re longer and wavier this time round and can be styled to look slick or casual.

Tempting as it may seem, don’t try to cut a fringe for yourself!  Wait for your Simone Thomas stylist who will ensure your bangs will be blended in with your overall cut for the most flattering look for your particular face shape.   Click on the video link below to see the transformation we created for one of our lovely clients at our Westbourne salon.
