2020 has been extraordinary and challenging at times for us all but we are happy to be back loving what we do on a daily basis. From creating fabulous hair colours and styles, taming the wildest of manes with KeraStraight and giving those in need of hair due to illnesses a new head of hair.
We love what we do and we are thankful you are part of that journey with us.
Salon Safety
Our first priority is to keep everyone safe, that’s you our clients, but also our team. We see this as a partnership of trust, so we ask you to please play your part in keeping everyone safe. In return we will all be doing the same for you.
Rules and regulations are always changing and we would ask you to be patient with the team, there is a chance some things might be a little less snappy than usual and one thing we know we are all missing is hot drinks and tasty snacks! This is something we are not allowed to offer at this time but we look forward to when we can.
As you know we have been required to make some procedural and physical changes. Our aim is that these important extra safety measures, do not retract from your relaxing appointment with us, we hope to maintain our Simone Thomas Salon atmosphere and environment that our clients tell us they love so much.
We appreciate that there will be many differing views and sensitivities to the new guidelines but the one thing we would ask, is that you respect the physical space of our staff and other clients. You can still be sociable and enjoy interacting with our incredible team. We are not going to put 1 metre lines everywhere or restrict where you can go, but we just ask you to be mindful and wear your mask at all times.
We’re following and in fact, going beyond, all government guidelines and implementing stringent cleaning and sanitising methods including ‘fogging’ the salon regularly. We have strict hand washing rules amongst the team and have hand sanitiser points throughout the salon and at every station – please do help yourself to this regularly.
Our team are wearing full PPE that is changed with each client as well as them all using hospital grade sanitising and cleaning products. All the team have correct headwear whether a mask or visor that the government have stipulated. As you can imagine this all costs extra money for a business, so we have brought in the £3 PPE charge to help us cover the cost. We chose to do this rather than put our prices up which other salons have done to factor this in. Our aim is to keep our clients and staff safe and healthy and for the salon to remain open so we can avoid any at home hair disasters again. All our team have had health and safety training and are regularly updated with all new changes.
Simone Thomas Wellness
As you have probably heard Simone launched her own range of wellness products last year after suffering with hair and health issues herself. The three products which range from Collagen SkinQuencher, a three step Gingko Hair Care Plan for those suffering with hair loss or hair thinning, and the Biotin Hair Care Plan for those who want to always feel and look their best. All three products have won numerous awards this year and you can find out how these products can help your hair, skin, energy levels and general wellbeing by clicking here. Simone has helped people from ages 3 to 98 with various health issues ~ we are more than just a hair salon; we are a wellness clinic too!
NutriHome
To provide more support for Simone’s wellness clients she has also launched the incredible NutriHome which brings you monthly recipes that are organic when possible, clean living with a little bit of naughty, covering all forms of diets and needs as well as catering for your lunch box ideas, breakfast, dinner, snacks and indulgent sweet treats! These recipes have been designed around the best ingredients in season, with your health and wellbeing top of mind, as well as with consideration for your time. Our lives our busy so we don’t have lots of time to spend in the kitchen, however there is no reason why we can’t create nutritious, tasty meals that are a feast for our eyes and a treat for our body! Bioenergetics Health Screening
Did you know we also offer advanced health screening using Bioenergetics to monitor and optimise the energetic state of your internal organs. Bioenergetics screening can pick up on your food sensitivities, environmental sensitivities, identify your specific nutritional needs, your hormonal balance, toxins in your body and much more. The initial treatment is a 75-minute consultation during which we conduct an Advanced Health Screening using the Bioenergetics machine, to determine your major health concerns. We follow this with a series of smaller tests, to pick up on specific concerns. More information can be found here.

Hair Care Products
In salon we stock the Simone Thomas Wellness, NaturalTech, Davines and Olaplex hair care ranges. We also offer complimentary hair product consultations with our team of experts. You can ask to have this whilst your colour is developing, or we can book you in another time suitable for you. Your stylist will run through a questionnaire with you and then will be able to advise you on the best products for your hair.
