Simone Thomas nominated for two Dorset Business Awards

Dorset businesswoman, Simone Thomas, has been recognised for her incredible business achievements by both the Blackmore Vale Business Awards and the Dorset Venus Awards.

Simone Thomas, owner of the highly successful Simone Thomas hairdressers and hair loss clinic in Reading and Bournemouth , is delighted to have been announced as a finalist for a phenomenal two separate awards – The Blackmore Vale Business Awards in the ‘Business Woman of the Year’ Category and The Dorset Venus Awards in the ‘Mouchel Entrepreneur of the Year Category’.

The awards both go to highlight Simone Thomas’ achievements and her outstanding entrepreneurial skills. Simone, who drew on her own traumatic experiences of alopecia hair loss to set up a business helping people suffering from hair loss, was chosen from a record 1301 nominations and 402 applications for the Dorset Venus Awards ‘Mouchel Entrepreneur of the Year Category’. Simone’s hair loss clinic focuses on identifying hair loss causes such as female hair loss or male pattern baldness and changing the way client’s feel about their hair loss by administering a hair loss treatment that works for them.

Dubbed the “working women’s Oscars”, the Dorset Venus Awards acknowledge inspirational working women from across the region who excel in the world of business.

The Blackmore Vale ‘Business Woman of the Year’ award recognises women who have made a significant personal contribution to the success of their businesses. The award also celebrates the positive impact that the Simone Thomas hairdressers and hair loss clinic in Bournemouth and Wokingham has made on the local community and those suffering from hair loss.

Simone Thomas has won a string of awards, not least the national Venus Award for PR and Marketing in 2014.

Simone Thomas has said:

“I am thrilled to be announced as a finalist for not only the Entrepreneur of the Year category of the Venus Awards but also the respected Business Woman of the year category in of the Blackmore Vale Business Awards. When I started out my business to help those with hair loss, I wasn’t thinking about awards, but to be recognised as an inspirational entrepreneur and business woman in Dorset is a true honour.”

The Dorset Venus Awards ceremony will be held at the Lighthouse Poole, on the 18th September, whilst the fourth annual Blackmore Vale Business Awards will be held at the George Albert Hotel, Evershot, on the 17th of September. Both are set to be nights full of glamorous celebration honouring the best businesses in Dorset.
