Man puts his hair on the line in order to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer.
Macmillan Cancer’s new fundraising campaign “Shave or Style” has seen iconic figures from the world of fashion including Abbey Clancy and Nina Nesbitt offer up their trade mark locks in exchange for dramatic hair transformations. Westbourne’s fashionable Salon, Simone Thomas hair loss clinic and hairdressers in Bournemouth and Wokingham have also been lending their scissors to the cause.
The idea behind Macmillan Cancers new fundraising campaign asks people to stand beside those with cancer and raise money by bravely shaving off their hair or adopting a drastic new style. Adam Jackson, a local business owner, will be putting his own hair on the line and has asked Simone Thomas to do the shaving honours.
Simone Thomas has generously offered to shave Adam’s head free of charge and said: “This is a cause I am extremely passionate about and when Adam approached me to ask if I would help, I instantly said yes! Running a salon with a Hair Loss Clinic which specialises in hair loss, I have tried to do as much as I can within my work to help those subjected to this terrible disease. What Adam is doing is very brave. It takes a lot of courage to be willing to give up your hair and I am extremely happy to lend him a hand raising money for a great cause.”
Adam Jackson commented: “Simone’s willingness to the cause has been absolutely incredible. She’s a busy women, but not only did she say yes but she has agreed to do it free of charge and she and her team have been actively helping me in my fundraising efforts too!.”
Adam Jackson and his hair parted ways on Monday 11th August at the Simone Thomas hair loss clinic. For anyone who would like to generously donate towards Adam’s fundraising efforts and raise money for Macmillan you can do so at: https://www.shaveorstyle.org.uk/?s=Adam+Jackson&type=download
