Rich Brunettes

As summer fades to autumn, it’s time for blonde and lighter hair colours to make way for beautiful glossy brunettes.

For fantastic and gloriously glossy hair, try an all-over brunette or brown hair colour.  For added movement you could also ask for some red-toned highlights to be added to your brunette.  They’ll look fabulous in the autumn sunshine!

Faded Pastel Hair Colours

Developments in hair colour technology in recent years mean we can now create almost any colour under the rainbow.  Maybe that’s why pastel hair colour remains a top hair colour trend, whatever the season!

As we head into autumn we tend to move away from the vibrant pastel hair colours of the summer months, with more seasonal, faded pastel pinks, blues and purples becoming popular.

Faded pastel hair shades are a low-maintenance way to update your look and are an easy to wear style.  For inspiration, take a look at this beautiful pink blush effect we created for one of our clients recently.

Vibrant Redheads

Why not turn heads this autumn with a bold red hair colour?   There’s such a range of red shades to choose from, we’re sure to find a one that’s suited to you.

You don’t have to go for an eye-poppingly bright red – you could simply opt for some warm reds to be added as an undertone to give dimension and vibrancy to your base colour.

Our L’Oreal hair colour specialists can help you find the perfect custom shade that complements your skin tone and eye colour.   We created this vibrant orange red for one of our clients this week.

Be Bold With Balayage

Balayage continues to be a top trend this autumn and we have noticed that people are becoming more adventurous with their balayage looks.

While sun-kissed blonde balayage is still very popular, clients are also asking for shades of red to be woven into their hair, or beautiful deep brunettes.  Bright fashion colours are also making it into the balayage mix.

Whether you’d like a natural balayage look or something a bit more bold, talk to our hair colour experts so they can advise you on the perfect colour for your hair.  This beautiful autumnal colour work was created by Jo in our Bournemouth salon recently.

Buttery & Caramel Blondes

Warm golden tones, honey hues, buttery blondes and caramel blonde colours continue to be popular as we head into the autumn months.

The summer sunshine tends to lighten your hair colour leaving it looking washed out at this time of year, but this can be balanced out by adding some warmer shades throughout your hair.

You could consider having some warm buttery or caramel blonde hair colours added, either as full colour, highlights or balayage.    If your hair is in need of some TLC after days of sunshine and salt water on holiday, we’d also recommend having a specialist in-salon treatment to leave it looking as good as new!  Speak to your Simone Thomas stylist about our range of in salon treatments from L’Oreal to find the best one for your particular hair concerns.

This beautiful balayage look was created by Jo and Erica.
